Position Purpose: This position is responsible for the onboarding, training and administrative supervision of assigned Mental Health Practitioner (e.g., PILT) staff. This role will provide clinical oversight and supervision of clinical paperwork to ensure that services meet the standards of CARE Counseling and licensing bodies.

Organization Relationships: This position reports directly to the Director of Clinical Services and interacts on a regular basis with other members of an interdisciplinary team. This position works cooperatively with all CARE Counseling staff.

Principal Accountabilities/Performance Standards:

 Support CARE’s Mission, Vision and Values as well as program and organizational policies, procedures and service standards, ensuring staff understand and integrate accordingly.

 Fulfill all the duties and maintain professional and ethical behavior, as described in Mental Health Professional and Clinical Supervisor position descriptions.

 Supervise the administrative work of assigned supervisees to ensure adherence to quality standards and proper procedures, providing coaching when errors or problems with paperwork are discovered. Additionally, facilitate 2 consultation groups each week.

 Properly prepare supervisees on completing supervision contracts and learning contracts and updates in preparation for transitioning to another Clinical Supervisor.

 Participate in the planning, managing, and communication of supervisor teams and supervisor transitions of Mental Health Practitioners and Clinical Trainees, as assigned.

 Provide training and instruction to newly hired Mental Health Practitioners in job duties and company policies, providing and/or arranging training as needed including coaching and mentoring specific to written paperwork. Additionally, assess their strengths and development needs, and provide timely and specific feedback on job duties, company policies and best practices.

 Initiate, compile, and present monthly feedback from Clinical Supervisors regarding the performance of their Mental Health Practitioners and Clinical Trainees.

 Coordinate with Onboarding Specialists and other staff to arrange for additional coaching and training of Mental Health Practitioners as needed.

 Partner with staff on identifying and developing professional goals that encourage and support professional growth within the organization. Includes participating in Clinical Trainee training days and other company-initiated training and development.

 Help train new Clinical Supervisors into CARE’s systems and communicate expectations and responsibilities of the role, as assigned.

 Participate in clinical leadership meetings, as assigned.

 Establish proper authority relationships among members of the work group and create a congenial work environment while supporting workplace policy and procedures.

 Ability to maintain confidentiality and understand and comply with professional standards of practice.

 Maintain all required training and certifications in accordance with state and organizational requirements including attendance at staff meetings and mandatory trainings.

 Comply with all laws, regulations, policies, and ethical codes.

 Attendance is an essential function of this position.

 Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

 Doctoral degree REQUIRED in the behavioral sciences from an accredited college or university.

 Minimum of one year prior supervisory experience.

Certifications/Licenses:

 Maintain an active, unrestricted clinical license as a Psychologist in the State of Minnesota (LP).

 Maintain respective board approval to supervise Mental Health Practitioners and Clinical Trainees.
