Job Description

CAREfree Counseling, LLC (“CAREfree”) is a professional firm that allows individual therapists the opportunity to operate their own private practices with practice supports provided by CAREfree Counseling. CAREfree Counseling is an affiliated entity of CARE Counseling.

This is an independent contractor position which gives the therapist the opportunity to see clients with the freedom associated with running and operating an independent practice. The therapist will have the flexibility to create their own schedule and decide the size of their caseload. Independent contractors earn income based on billable hours and revenue collected; with earning potential based on experience and size of caseload. An independent contractor will follow recognized standards of the profession, and comply in all material respects with all federal and state laws, rules, regulations, and accreditation standards applicable to services provided. The Independent Contractor’s acceptance and execution of the CAREFREE standard independent contractor agreement is required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide psychotherapy to individuals presenting with a wide variety of issues and utilize the DSM-5 for diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • The therapist must submit timely and complete notes, treatment plans, service orders, authorizations, assessments, and other applicable documentation from all completed sessions as needed for reimbursement.
  • Notify CAREfree Counseling immediately of any complaints, citations, or investigations that could result in the suspension, revocation, sanction, reprimand, limitation, qualification, or termination of your license/credentials.
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the CAREfree Counseling standard independent contractor agreement.

Required Qualifications

  • Must have a minimum of a master’s degree in professional counseling or related field and have a minimum of one year of clinical experience working directly with clients with a mental health diagnosis. Both Mental Health Professionals and Mental Health Practitioners are eligible for this position.
